It’s not ideal, but modern engines can tolerate it. The quickest way to get the engine to ideal operating temperature start driving at an easy pace, part throttle and smooth acceleration.

Nowadays we have more advance synthetic oil that has a low viscosity even in extrem cold temperatures. It should not be a major problem

What about hybrid cars it starts with the battery and when you reach the highway it starts the engine cold is that bad for the engine?🤔
