This probably isn’t done on purpose.. if it is or not, it wouldn’t make a difference. This is manual tuning (manual autotune) meaning you tune each note. Autotune is different, if you listen with autotune, to get the sound you want, meaning it tunes it to the closest note in the scale, you can sing off key to get the sound you’d like unlike with melodyne, you’d need to retune it to that.
