@panglossblue: We got home late last night and still had a few chores to wrap up and a ton of last-minute prep for a transport. 😮‍💨 But we had to pop in to give the syrup baby her midnight room service. She seriously sounds like a raptor. 😆 Clever girl! I have a huge "database" on my phone of different vocalizations the pigs make... very scientific names like hot pants, raptor gurgles, FAFO growls, barkies.. 😆 Short, low frequency sounds compared to high frequency squeaks and barks paired with the context - environment and their posture - can tell us a lot about what a pig is feeling or thinking. She is on guard, alert, but happy to see us (or, more so Joseph 😆)... It's like, "ok, this was the guy." He's familiar, and she's excited - but she doesn't fully trust us, and she's letting us know. But man, is she curious!
