Here in Latinoamérica DC has always been super popular. My grandma may not now how to read but she knows Batman, Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Aquaman.

I would say yes and no. yes DC is bigger then marvel but if we're bing honest that's 90% Batman and Superman carrying the brand. look at how every other heros even wonder women who's apart of the DC big 3 is treated compared to Batman and Superman. meanwhile marvel can make almost anyone even their C list heros / teams household names. the MCU alone flipped Alot of low tier marvel heros into pop culture stardom meanwhile the 2011 green lantern movie flopped, flash is most known for his cw tv show and the dcau and his movie flopped, the Shazam black Adam fiasco, aqua man was just ok, teen titans is still riding that 2003 nostalgia. im just saying unless your connected to Batman or superman you really dont know what your gonna get. meanwhile marvel took someone like star lord and made him popular enough to be kids and adults Halloween costumes and everyone knows who he is

i would argue DC It's the only reason SUPERHEROS as a thing have any pop culture inportance at all,the only reason It's acceptable to make movies about It at all, even the reason we have any Marvel property on the screen , people rag abot wonder woman not having dove much recently but wonderwoman could have stopped having movies and cartoons After the 90s and still be the MOST recognizable female characters of all time, and the same with Batman and superman

I think people who grew up on the mcu as their main superhero content have a very skewed idea of what heroes are genuinely popular, cuz there's a reason the mcu kicked off with Iron Man, marvel never sold the film rights to him like they did Spider-Man or the X-Men, because major studios weren't all that interested in Iron Man!
