I’ve lived in London for 5 years & I leave the house fully expecting my phone to be stolen. Like, I’ve genuinely expected it for 5 years. I’ve walked home alone at 3am with my phone in my hand and it’s still not gone. I’m grateful, very grateful, but baffled.

it's genuinely not even that bad, pickpockets exist in every major city in Europe but the situation in London is made out to be a bigger problem than elsewhere, just don't hold your phone far away from you where it's easy to nab and just be aware. as you should be doing literally anywhere you travel
