I wonder if it’s one of billions of seeds that plant the ingredients of life on planets.Plunged into the darkness by an alien race hoping to keep life alive or just a cosmic explosion flinging out shrapnel. Its all cool

In order to sublimate that much water that fast, it must contain a heat source.
Thoughts?

Using common sense, every planet with life was clearly seeded by asteroids carrying life and resources to start it all. It just takes a very long time to notice.

you people do this every time there is a comet or asteroid. this one won't get within 1.6 astronomical units of earth. stop fearmongering. spread the info around people. I encourage you to do your research

It just makes me endlessly sad that I'll never get to see the things I'm most excited about, biggest example being Milkyway and Andromeda colliding. 🥺

how is it an interstellar object and a comet? I've assumed comets were solar objects. does it mean our solar system captured it? Or is my naive view of comets wrong? If the former, that itself seems pretty special. PS, love your content.
