@ninatheplantmum: My garden is BALD BALD BALD. How to save plants from powdery mildew 🌨️ if your courgette or squash leaves are covered in a white powder, it’s probably powdery mildew. To protect your plants from dying, you’ll want to remove all the affected leaves, leaving some leaves behind so the plant can survive. Then spray your plants with a solution of bicarbonate of soda, washing up liquid, and water! Make sure to spray the undersides too. Powdery mildew can happen because there isn’t enough airflow for your plants, but also the risk is higher during warmer dry weather apparently! So it’s important to make sure the roots of your plants don’t dry out. But you also don’t want the leaves to get wet as that can also encourage powdery mildew 🙃 Plants are such babies FFS 😂 #powderymildew #gardeninghacks #gardeningtips #organicgardening #kitchengarden
