:Ghanaians don't value and appreciate the Forestry Commission. It's about time it becomes a Para- Military agency. You will hear numerous attacks every year, all because our men are not properly trained and armed.When you are recruited as a forest guard, they give you one cutlass, uniforms, and safety boots. Imagine a resource guard at Goaso, Nyinahin, Mim, Sankore etc protecting our forest reserves full of gangs with only cutlass.And for the record: There is no security service in Ghana who has fought Galamsey more than our very own " The Rapid Response Unit". They risk their lives every day to protect our reserves, yet they are not recognised. All these gang attacks you watch on tv are faced by the Rapid Response Unit of the ForestryCommission. They go to operations with no helmets, bulletproof vests, etc.I don't know where my comments will land me, but i know that God will touch someone heart ♥️to grant these wish. They want to serve their country. They want to protect nature for our future generations. It is our responsibility to protect them too. The only agency to stop illegal mining in our forest reserves is the Forestry Commission.
