Yes. Dividend ETFs should be held in a ROTH IRA not individual brokerage account. However, when you are younger you should invest in growth ETFs like VOO/QQQM with low expense ratios. As you start shifting towards retirement then reallocate to dividend ETFs such as SCHD or even bonds like BND for steady income in retirement. Do this in your ROTH IRA so it's tax free.
