I work in OBGYN and i can’t tell you how many ultrasounds messages I have to read to patients that mention mild kidney dilation!

It’s very common, I found out my baby had dilation of both kidneys @20w I’m now 34w and it has gone away all on its own. It freaked me out as a first time mom for sure.

Must be a boy thing! My boys kidneys were the same way! They kept checking his kidneys after he was born until he was almost 2 and said it’s fine he is normal and healthy and plays tackle football!

My son had dilated ureters & by the time he was 18m old it was resolved & no more ultrasounds! But we could tell a huge difference in the amount of diapers when they ere dilated!
