@birdsdiscovery: Southern Cassowary Known as: The world’s most dangerous bird. The Southern Cassowary is officially recognized as the world’s most dangerous bird. It’s not dangerous because it hunts humans — it’s dangerous because of its defensive power and speed when it feels threatened. 💥 Main Dangers: Each foot has a dagger-like claw up to 10 cm (4 inches) long. One strong kick can cause deep cuts or even fatal injuries. These claws can tear through skin and muscle easily. ⚡ Speed and Agility: They can run up to 50 km/h (31 mph) through the forest. Can jump up to 1.5–2 meters (5–6.5 feet) high. This makes escape difficult if you get too close. Found in: Australia, New Guinea, and nearby islands. 🍉 Southern Cassowary Diet (What It Eats): 1. 🍎 Fruits (Main Food): Cassowaries are mostly frugivorous, meaning they mainly eat fruit. They eat more than 150 different kinds of rainforest fruits — including some that are poisonous to humans, but safe for them! Favorite foods: wild figs, berries, mango-like fruits, and fallen rainforest fruits. 2. 🍄 Fungi & Plants: They also eat fungi, young shoots, and leaves sometimes. 3. 🐛 Small Animals (Occasionally): Occasionally, they eat small insects, snakes, frogs, or snails — but only a small part of their diet. #southerncassowary #dangrousbird #fyp
