this is a neat solution. but I'd be worried about the extra stress on the hitch itself. what does the loaded trailer tongue weigh? and how much is that multiplied due to the length of the extension.

um ever hear of Archimedes. that can't tow much if anything thanks to how long it is and now it doesn't even matter what the truck is rated for because now its more about how much your engine block can weigh down that front end

It’s 4’ long and it works like a charm. Ford F-550 SD PU with Lance 1161 and 26’ Skipjack Flybridge on a triple axle trailer. Tows like a dream.

that extension is not even rated for half of 30k towing. better do some more reading. also keep in mind if something does happen, manufacturers always blame someone else if you are using someone else's receiver hitch, trailer, etc.

That rating means nothing. It's all about how we behaves when you swerve or go over obstacles or humps, or when large Vehicles 18 wheelers pass you at the higher speed. You're dealing with a seesaw. The further back you have stuff hanging out the easiest to mess up your vehicle. I am talking from experience. Also you need to fill up that vehicle and camper vehicle and camper would both Samsung and Apple Air tags. Thieves love your setup. One day you will go out to eat in town and you will find out there is no truck or camper anymore. That happened to a friend of mine who sold their house to buy your setup.
