@notmy1st: Repost// Sometimes I wish I never became an editor. Looking back I made some cool stuff, all in the name of “selfish art”. This was before I understood what separated myself from the normal editor. I was only worried about the art aspect. Now when I make something my standards are set so unbelievably high as an “editor” I don’t enjoy it like I use too. It feels less like art and more like superficial and way less emotionally impactful. I’m going to try to do better and bring the art and meaning back into my videos but sometimes I just miss the way things use to be 😕

As I begin to edit more I understand, many projects I’ve scrapped because of ulterior motives like views, rather than just letting myself have full creative control.

Something similar happened with my videos; I used to make them just for the love of the game, until I copied/was inspired by trends and some videos went viral.This makes me think that my own ideas and feelings, and my appearance, are less interesting and appealing than those of many creators here. I always wanted to be popular like many others on TikTok simply because I am myself.

i miss editing…. i edit here and there and it’s all in the name of “art” tho i don’t do much with it at all nor do i post it, only bc i believe its not good enough but when is good enough? that feeling will never come and everything i’ve ever made will remain unseen… its all simple.. yet our brains complicate things… i wish it was easier
