@mountaininthemist: Things happen quickly in the rabbit world! We use a spreadsheet to keep ourselves organized. 🐇 Any questions? Drop them below! 😁 #homesteading #meatrabbits #raisingrabbits #sustainalemeat #rabbits
We ‘process’ at 12-16 weeks. Process, is that what we’re calling it now?

I think that this sort of thing shouldn’t be shown on social media. It’s awful. It’s necessary. Not sure what is gained from upsetting people that actually care for bunnie

I have two rabbits and they are my babies…my favorite animals on earth, I understand people who eat them, not mad about it nor am I gonna shame anyone, I just WISHHHHH they weren’t food to some 😂😂 like I would literally die if I had to do it. But I’m very glad you take care of them I really am.

Im all for rasing meat rabbits and love the consideration you give them but I am curious about the wire flooring, I always heard it was bad for rabbits feet and painful, is there any reason besides less mess you use it?

A rabbit rescued from a meat breeder stayed with me every painful hour while I recovered very slowly from severe PTSD, over the 12 years she lived with me. She taught me a love that my human family was too impaired to give, and that I may not have learned without her kindness and willingness to know me and be with me through all the flashbacks. I can’t explain to anyone who hasn’t been healed by a beloved pet what it meant in my life. Please consider eating less animals. Any amount less really helps, it doesn’t have to be zero if you can’t do it. Thank you for reading. 💜

does not separating the females and males not cause inbreeding?

Why not use the word "slaughter" instead of "process"?

I feel so bad for them to be kept on this wire! You can raise your own meat rabbits, but treat them with respect!

I only eat deer meat. And I have two bunnies that I love. But this farm is more humane than the places where beef and chicken come from. Just saying…

Do you guys give them a break through the warmer months (April-Sept)? We definitely struggled to keep ours cool in the south during summer, so that makes sense.
