hey I just had a question. Personally I don't drink, however, I had an organic chemistry lab where we practiced whiskey distillation. Now the smell was horrible. I am wondering, for people who actually drink whiskey, is that smell for you let's say the same as me eating aged blue cheese? Like blue cheese smells super bad, but the taste is amazing. would you describe it that way?

Brogeta87 :

Paolo Vito :

I’ve never understood the smoking part of an old fashioned. Does letting the smoke sit there somehow affect the entirety of the glass or just the top portion of the drink?

A good single malt, sugar? And smoked scent? Why? Um... I don't understand? Why? Wasn't a good single malt just a little water? Does this make it more delicious? I'm just curious😳😳😳
