Thank you for clearing this up. A lot of people who are takers love to say we hold things over thier heads or like to bring up the things we do for them. Not keeping in mind that most of the time we waited so long to express how we feel and the relationship lacking reciprocity. We are not bringing up what we do for you as a way to belittle, but a way to shed light on the imbalance.

No because I have a friend who was homeless and couch surfing at periods of her life and when I would help her out (drove to and from Colorado from KC in a night to get her one time) she ALWAYS found a way to give back with her Time, Warmth, Advice, or she'd use her limited funds to make me home made cookies. That's a good friend right there!

Its truly the thought that counts. I’m the type of person that goes out of their way for my friends and family. You may not have the resources to reciprocate but just doing small things to show you care or showing up when needed! It’s simple.

I always spend so much money and put in so much thought into Christmas and birthday gifts, why am I so horrible for feeling sad that almost none of my friends age ever gotten me a gift? I don’t do it out of expectation for an exchange, but it would be nice to be shown the same amount of appreciation for once
