I did this with a batch yesterday with the 15 second consistency, and it was a success! Do you ever microwave the icing bag to make it thinner?

I have some new, sealed packages of royal icing mix that expired in Dec. 2024, as well as an unopened package of meringue powder. Are they safe to use or should I toss them?

I’m with you on both! I’m not mixing multiple consistencies for just flooding, and hybrid hides the outline!

I am going to make sugar cookies for the first time and I would like to use the technique that you're using but I need a video that showed me what consistency exactly it has to be for me the outline and flood the cookie

I love your videos and helpful tutorials! I use one consistency as well, generally 15-20 second flood.

do you use a different consistency for lettering or the same consistency as your outline/flood?

Tried the first time with Royal icing. I liked the all in one instead of the two. They edging I think was to dark. Was going for a darker brown. The Dark Brown came out to light. I won’t give up. Always learning. They were delicious.

I just found you. great content. I'm a newbie with decorating. I tried your gingerbread cookies. They're awesome. Thank you. The icing, however, has me stumped. With a lot of attempts, I finally got the consistency right. But the colouring isn't working out. All I've got are Easter colours. I'm using food colouring from the grocery store. Perhaps that's the problem. How do I get rich Xmas colours?

I do it with a 15 second consistency and works great. Whenever I’d outline first then flood, the outline was viable and I couldn’t stand it so I started trying to do both at the same time and perfection. I’m no pro but practicing. Made these last night

If it’s a 15sec consistency, is it possible to still do a wet on wet design?
