This is why even though I voted for Kamala, I didn't like her. She showed us that if she won she would be just the same as Biden through her campaign (that would only continue the status quo), but she was the only other option because I didn't want trump to win :/. As someone who really likes zohran who won in New York, I find myself wondering if he would have been able to win if kamala had been president. If people would have been uncomfortable enough with the status quo to vote for him? Hope that makes sense.

no bc when i heard the news i went down a rabbit hole reading about the liz cheney endorsement and i really see that as pure desperation. which is why till this day she never talks bad about Biden even though ik she doesn’t even believe what she says.

Such an astute and clear explanation. Also, while the “Dems” maybe tend to expand civil liberties, it wasn’t out of the goodness of their hearts but through intense struggles with activists where in the end the Dems chose to give some concessions that make their brand of control more palatable

I mean, both things can be true. We can enjoy a breath of relief as a war criminal who has caused catastrophic amounts of suffering perishes. We can also understand that Kamala Harris would have kept things a bit more stable, but also would have ultimately continued the status quo (which is objectively bad). The establishment Democratic Party is center-right at best.
