When my oldest learned about Santa, they got to be Santa for their sibling. After everyone was tucked into bed They got to eat the cookies, and put their younger sibling’s gifts under the tree. It was a fun way to keep the magic alive a little longer

So we lost our first babies they were twin girls named Joanna and Callie, we now have stockings for them and we fill them up with donations, toys that no longer get played with, and on Christmas Eve Santa comes and picks up their stockings and gives them to kids in need. It’s a beautiful way to keep their memory alive while teaching our other kids giving and gratitude.

I saw one that were totally starting. Once night when the kids think they are about to get in bed they walk in to golden tickets on their pillows and instead of going to bed it’s polar express night. Hot cocoa is ready and we all go drive around looking at Xmas lights in our pjs 🥰

Each kid picks out their own wrapping paper every year and mom sends it to Santa so he knows what to wrap your presents in and what house to deliver too! My mom started this 40 years ago with my brother and now I do it with my son

Saw one person say they get a box of chocolate and a note to leave for the best decorations they see when looking at Christmas lights ♥️

My parents get me a new ornament every year, it usually has something to do with what happened that year. When I moved out I had a whole tree’s worth of ornaments and all the memories 🥲❤️

When my daughter was two she told Santa she wanted a real cake and he’s been bringing her cake ever since. She’s 26 and just had her own baby 2 weeks ago, but I’m sure Santa will still bring cake!

My dad would write a little note back from Santa that would be on the cookies plate Christmas morning. It was always from the sticky notes we kept in the kitchen as if Santa wrote it once he got to our house. He shook his hand when he was writing so it looked like an old man’s writing with a shaky hand. I never noticed it was his, just a bit messy, until I was older. I’m 30 now and still have the notes that I have put in Christmas frames and get hung up as decor during the holidays! 🎄😊

I save all of our Christmas pajamas with the intent that they’ll be made into family quilts or pillows when the kids become adults and everyone will have slightly different but mostly matching ones 🥹

One year my sister made an absolutely horrifying elf ornament at school. No one remembers how it started, but we started hiding it in each other's bedrooms for a jump scare, and then it turned into a Christmas tradition. Whoever successfully hid the elf last got to open the first gift on Christmas. One year my brother photocopied just the head and spread them throughout my room to keep making me think I found it.

The Holiday Pajamas.. love your idea but hear me out... instead of a tree skirt.. save til 18 then make them into a Holiday quilt. Parents can use to snuggle and watch Christmas movies every year and then pass on to their children when they've either passed or when their children have a family of their own

My mom used to make bags of “reindeer food” out of quaker oats and glitter. Every christmas eve we would go out into the front yard and sprinkle the oats all over the grass so that the reindeer could find our house🥹

We water pinecones in bowl where the tree goes before bed to grow a tree to decorate! Dad and I put up the tree after our toddler goes to bed.

I’m so sad I didn’t see the Christmas pjs idea sooner! I’ve been buying my kids Christmas pjs each year and have passed them on… it would be so cute to do the tree skirt (they’re 6,8 and 10 now)
