my company has an open vacation policy. as long as you do your job you can take as many days as you need. i have colleagues who always have friday off. other have every monday off. we don't take sick days, we just don't work if we don't feel ok. nobody's ever abused this benefit.

So I got 35 vacation days 100h ATF ( work hour reduction I can use when I want ) I can be handling a sick kid for max 260d/year and have the right to be sick with 80% pay. Then I get pension savings and paid time to educate my self. US doesn’t look competitive to me sorry.

Yeah, working is so chill, that German companies are loosing their competitiveness… here companies are more a care center for their employees than actually producing anything… it’s nice for now, but if they go bankrupt the metrical is over 🤷♂️
