I think alot of people forget to disclose the help they get from their parents. you can only save like that with parent help in some way. either them helping with housing and food while they save OR they help with the savings themselves.

Hey guys, you’re still getting help from your parents if you don’t have to pay rent at home, buy your own food, pay for phone bill, etc.

People don’t realize exactly how many of their peers are having their entire life paid for by their family. They don’t even need to be rich rich for this to happen. I swear everyone I know gets more hand outs from their parents than I ever did.

i’m 18 with 10k saved. yes i still live under my dads roof but i pay for my own car, car insurance, phone bill, hygiene and other expenses and put back my own money so there’s no excuse to be living pay check to check when ya’ll could have prepared yourselves better.

They are definitely getting parental help that they don't mention. My reasoning for that is they always seem to be students who therefore obviously don't have a job thats making them that kind of money so they must be getting help

If it weren’t for driving lessons then I would easily have had around 10K in savings when I was 21. It’s all about cutting down unnecessary expenses and putting 70% of your salary in your savings account.

i have 14k in savings purely because i live with my parents and im not required to pay for anything except putting gas on my car, i still buy myself food and such but if i dont wanna ill just eat what my mom cooks. i would be broke asf if i didn't live at home and had to pay for my phone/car/food etc
