As an Aussie, this is literally the first time I’ve ever been made to consider that those stickers aren’t actually a fundamental part of the appliance like the door or the on button.

I had the same washing machine for 23 years. The sticker finally fell off and the washing machine broke 5 months later. Clearly the sticker is a lifespan indicator.

This is a thirdhand fridge and I reckon its about 15-20 years old. The stickers last and don't peel.

Melissa you’re going to love this, they’re on the windscreens of new cars now too. And people leave them there as well 😩🤣 Honestyly we’re just a lazy people. Very low effort culture.

I think us Aussies just don’t notice. I went and checked my washer and dryer and yep, both still have stickers. I’ve never noticed it before!!

It’s ingrained into us to keep them on things like fridges/washing machines/dryers because we might sell them second hand. Of all the appliances to keep star ratings, dishwashers are actually least likely! When we sell houses, usually dishwashers the only appliance to remain in situ.

As an Aussie.. I actually have no idea why we don’t take them off 🤣 but yes, my dishwasher, dryer & washing machine all have their stickers! And the dryer is 21 years old 🤣🤣🤣🤣
