assuming this is an A321 cabin mid door you should look out of where the blue arrow is pointing, pull the thing covering the red lever to the side (red arrow), then pull the red lever up (black arrow), then the door should automatically open, if not hold the handles by the yellow arrows and push it open, the door will open slowly to provide time for the slide to inflate. Pretty simple system, there’s a cover to the lift handle that needs to be moved first and then lift said handle and the door has a nitrogen charge that will actuate the door throwing it open while the emergency slide inflates.

It’s pretty simple once you learn!! All you do is pull the lever and push out for most planes! There’s also instruction on the doors & in the manuals to make it a bit easier! - the daughter of an AA employee
