Most chargers in towns charge around 0.79p per kWh to charge so if I use a public charger it would cost me £52 which is roughly the same as petrol and takes about an hour and a half to fully charge. Luckily I have a home charger but you add 3p per mile tax and it makes having an electric car a huge annoyance/inconvenience

Was obvious that EVs would have to pay more one day . Much heavier than a petrol car and road tax was free or a lot cheaper. No fuel duty and the Government are desperate for more money to waste!

I went electric a few years ago as it saved me almost 2 grand a year in fuel costs. If they implement this, its probably still cheaper to stay electric, but id consider going back to petrol

ubitricity already increased from 44p to 52p per kwh. peak time 72p (4-7pm) causing huge chaos.... in 5kwh pole charger rates....
