I’ve got an even quicker way, when something isn’t working and think it might be the fuse I’d just look on the box lid telling you exactly what fuse it is and simply replace it job done.

Just use multimeter and measure continuity. If circuit is switched off that tool is no good. Fuse could also have build up of corrosion so pull and look to be sure

I've been in the motor trade for 48 years and I still use a tester like this, I also have a power probe and a multi meter, use whichever tool is convenient for the job you're doing
