Next time tell them ‘ cho toi mot pho bo’ - means in viet ‘give me 1 beef soup’. Virtnamese lg is very direct , they dont use ‘could u give me ‘ or ‘can i have’ , they speak very directly. I leant Vietnamese as a way of shoeing my respect for the oeople and the culture and they love every effort of trying to speak their language.
