if ur hiding nothing, why would u not let them?! I don't get this in UK, we pack for ur holiday, and sweat we have a 1kg bag of sniff we accidentally packed! (even people who have never even seen it let alone have it!) so in the airport I have several times had my hand luggage checked (I was on liquid morphine back then, so showed on a hand swab, so I had a pat down and bag search, gladly as I was innocent!) clear ur name, walk away and laugh later! innocent people don't argue back when it's a simple stop.
