Bro…Use the template to make another template. From 1/8 or 1/4” mdf. That gets shaped and sanded to get the perfect profile. Much easier to shape. Then use a templating router bit to cut final stock.

It’s decent, I can see some high and low spots. What I would do is cut on the inside of the lines for the inside part and on the outside of the lines for the outside and then file and sand until I got to the lines.

You can still use your router, just move the template up until the center of your new circle is on the board.

This is why when I install these windows I always lay the window down and make my template before I install them. Because the azek finish outside is even worse to deal with.

UNION JOURNEYMEN HERE. Brother you’re so smart you don’t think like a beginner anymore. Always ask someone with less experience. I asked my wife who does every project with me. She said make a rough cut inside not cut out after you made that temple and router the inside out. And then take a 3 1/2 guide to cut the outside outline

If you have some 1/2” x1/2” rips of PVC nail it to your plywood that will create a perfect radius. You can use a flush trim, router it to make that clean.

Why not cut with jig and circ saw. And then clean up with a router ?

You could have just put a whole in the board just smaller than the opening and used a pencil instead of a knife but maybe you had reasons not too. I think there are router tracing bits too but I'm not an expert on that and they're prob $100

You forgot to mention- if your not super expert with a jigsaw just leave like a 16th extra meat and sand it down til you hit the line.

did the same but used a scrap piece of 3ply plastic, but still used my router. (I have the same router too, and love mine)
