I teach elementary. I got a cheap claw machine from Amazon in my room and “reverse psychologied” them into telling me things they’d REALLY want in it. They go FERAL for the claw machine. So every time I have to stop doing my job to redirect them, I put a tally on the board. If they get over 5 tally’s PER DAY as a class, no claw machine. It’s been working wonders so far. They hold each other accountable, too. We’ll see how long it lasts.
