Isnt it only natural and polite to offer ? It’s just my culture but both sides pull their weight. I grew up in a household where neither makes less than the other, there is absolutely no power dynamic. Everyone does their own thing. So I never really understood why traditional gender roles are important. The relationships where I see things often work out are when both sides can work for their passion, neither hindering the other. To put into perspective, my parents individually makes way more than the entire family could ever spend or buy. A relationship that is truly equal in every way might be a stretch of the imagination for some but it’s possible. Though my example may be flawed, as when my mom had me in her belly, she never had a job where she it requires labor, and she had way more than enough to to do anything she wants. So it didn’t really hinder the relationship between my dad and my mom in terms of being equal, as he is still doing his own thing while she has the freedom. It’s 2025, I think these roles are a little old fashion but it’s just the way I was raised, I might be looking at it too optimistically. In conclusion I think it’s a good gesture to offer to pay no matter the gender

I see where you are coming from. But my perspective is it shows consideration and that it is polite. I’ll never go somone where I was invited to and expect to be paid for. I know dating is a little different. But especially in the first stages, manners like that are attractive.
