The thing about apple maps is it is only great in the US. Outside US it’s mehh no one uses it.

The difference between Apple Maps and Google Maps/Waze is that it will zoom in and highlight which lane to use when turning. I’ve used all three apps and Apple Map UI, imo will always be better.

It’s not “only in the US”. Apple Maps’ detailed city experience is also available in cities outside of the US like London, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Melbourne, Sydney, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Lisbon, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Monaco and Singapore.
