@janklabs: It’s harvest day for my 6 foot tall Hugel mound . And the star of the show here was the sunchokes. Oh my God they went crazy. I got 30 pounds of sunchokes from only 1 pound of seed. I also got a good harvest of pumpkins and the potatoes didn’t do so well, but I’m hoping next year we won’t have that problem. Such is life on a DIY Homestead the first year you try and do something. It usually doesn’t turn out perfectly, but it gets better every year.
