1000000% recommend cat wall and window shelves! our cats love them, I even turned some vintage bamboo shelves into a cat tree. honestly, the best thing ever

The affordable option we did was to take a cat tower and disassemble it. we were not only able to make shelves from all the platforms in the cat tower but also screw the various poles together and made a full floor to ceiling climbing pole. we haven't done the carpet wall idea yet but they absolutely love climbing the pole on a daily basis. we even made a second pole from the same tower that runs halfway. so it starts on a shelf midway and then goes to the ceiling. the poles are theie most favorite part of the shelf wall. but it was super cheap just to disassemble a chewy cat tower. I think we only made three or four wall platforms from wooden brackets and the rest are from the tower itself.

besure the shelves and anchor will hold your cat. I have one 6 pound and one 20 pound cat. No she isn't underweight nor is he over weight.

If you rent, ask permission and repair where you put wall anchors. As a landlord, I’d appreciate the pet owners who are providing their pets with more enrichment so they’re not being destructive in other ways.

Our little gal loves her Pawkour Trail. Senior kitty and needed exercise and so many enrichment ideas involve food. We placed them everywhere in the house using furniture as part of the trail! Such an awesome idea🥰

I agree, but where I’m living at we’re not supposed to have cats! So pretty much when I know that we’re getting people coming over for like maintenance and what not I hide our cats.

rental friendly version is placing furniture in a way that your cat can climb, you can put some carpet on the side of a cabinet or whatever to have a way up and stuff
