You nailed it. It was gritty enough and stylalized practically most of a way that gave an 80s feel to it. Elle Fanning was far better than anticipated. I hoped it would be a good film and definitely ended up exceeded my expectations.

I really loved how much Dek’s journey mirrored Naru’s and then right in the middle of the movie you get these great sweeping landscape wide shots that feel like they’re right out of prey but on a different planet

I saw it today on IMAX. Had the same hesitation but yea after 15-20 minutes I knew it was going to rock and it did. One of my favorite Predator movies. Ellie Fanning was great too

I was bored for almost the entire time but I’ve never seen the other movies in the franchise. It felt like nonstop fighting with very little plot but I suppose that was the point…I love the genre, this just didn’t work for me.
