it’s been like this for years!! Decent construction paper is very hard to find. it’s way more expensive, comes with less variety, and with fewer sheets.

As a former elementary school teacher, I know this disappointment first hand. The quality of virtually ALL school supplies significantly declined over the course of my short 10.5 years in the classroom. Basically you have to buy Prang or Pacon online to get any kind of quality.

the construction paper I grew up with was a sensory nightmare. I stick to cardstock. It's not that expensive and comes in every color

That’s craft paper not construction paper. They’re passing it off. I hate it here. Everything is being passed off as something else now.

2001 baby here, construction paper used to be like slightly thicker than printer and colored paper, with a kind of fibrous texture. bro that is colored paperrrr😭

There is two kinds. The shiny thin kind and the fiber thick kind. The fiber kind is usually also larger sheets. A lot of the time I can only find the thick stuff at craft stores now though and it’s so expensive!
