To me IMO Mississippi Masala was Denzel Washington's most underrated films i remember seeing that movie with my Southeast Asian college classmate. Mississippi Masala was a very eye opening film and ahead of it's time it opened my eyes to see that there's eternalize racism and bigotry in the BLK/Southeast Asian Communities

Man, what great memories. When I was back in college at Howard U in DC(95) and dating an Indian American(parents born in india), we went to see this GREAT movie at the Biography Theater( a very small theater) in Georgetown(Washington DC). She was one of my first true loves. Never worked out because, the same issues that families of immigrants have of different cultures, in America, Hope she is doing well in her life. Very special moments in our lives
