i cannot hate him because he would not be evil had he not had hatred literally forced into him because of the bullying and humiliation he endured for years prior to getting a dragon, i hate certain things hes done but the attack against him that took his eye was undeserved entirely because there is no such thing as “inheriting” a dragon, and any anger he feels is rooted in years of being told that he was worthless and useless, he was doomed by parentage and by circumstance and yet hes still not AS awful as someone like aegon because his cruelty is based in active trauma and history with the people he hurts rather than JUST his own personal gratification, he is becoming MORE selfish but again he was always doomed so i cannot blame him for anything he does
