@secondtosolomon: Church is great! You should go! But missing church once won’t cause you to lose your salvation. @Jesus and whatnot #debate #church #catholic #protestant #theology
ALL sins lead to death that doesnt mean you lose your salvation 😭

the new sabbath was made as a gathering on sunday through Christ, it’s a sin to not gather.. yes the verses he says line up and proves this. you can’t just cut out a video and say it’s wrong.

He’s saying if you can go and don’t go because you don’t want to. Church is meeting together Jesus made a church. The sabbath isn’t how it was, but we don’t acknowledge it in old covenant ways. We keep it holy, via resting, focusing on our growth in God, and for Catholics it’s our day of obligation for church. We don’t have to follow the strict rules of not walking too far, doing specific works, etc. all love my friend but if you have no good reason to miss church then it’s wrong not to go

Walking with Christ :
Catholic here. Just clarifying cause I’ve researched this, only Catholics have to follow this. Protestants are not under Catholic Canonical Law because they are not apart of our institution. It is not a mortal sin for Protestants because they don’t have the Magesterium making it an obligation. Catholics follow the Bible AND the Church. The Mass prepares us to take the Eucharist for worship. We believe that’s what gives us life in us. And that it’s entirely necessary for our salvation. To miss mass is to miss the highest point of worship for a Catholic. I hope this explains a little better!

He makes those leaps because he takes his catechism as the ultimate authority and then looks for supporting texts. It’s straight up eisegesis rather than exegesis

Although we aren’t obligated by the civil and ceremonial laws, we still abide by the moral laws, i.e. the Ten Commandments. And he mentioned at the end of the video that this sin can be forgiven. It’s just that we need to be aware of the graveness of our sins

I’m confused. Are you rejecting the 10 commandments and saying we don’t have to follow them anymore or just saying we don’t have to observe the sabbath anymore
