He was handling a lot of offensive load at ote he was the #1 option so naturally he js tried less on defense he was more focused on making a name for himself offensively but on this college team he’s not the first option so he’s js trying more on defense

He doesn’t need to score 30-40 points anymore and is playing less minutes. He always had the potential it’s just difficult do play 32+ minutes of defense and offense. Just look at the offense heavy players in the nba.
