Maria, it’s the FAA that mandates the 2 bag rule… we don’t like it either, but violations can cost a flight attendant and the airline hefty fines if the FAA is on board…😊

I'm a frequent flyer and have seen SO many people get turned away for having those bags. They absolutely do count as an additional bag, sometimes flight crew just don't want to argue with you

I always take a pillow case. If your bag is overweight you can stuff the pillow case and they let you take the “pillow” on the plane. Makes no sense, because is coming either way.

Everyone fussing in the comments. I have never been through a gate that cares. All they care about is the size of the two bags. I always shop for snacks and a few things before I get on the plane and have a third bag of stuff I’m using during the flight.

Why not just 2 bags? It’s a rule for a reason. Put your crossbody in your backpack once it’s time to get on the plane.

Except the disposable bag may only contain food to be consumed on the flight otherwise it is counted as an additional carryon. Check your contract of carriage do your carrier.
