@thefasciamovement: The Diaphragm: Where Breath Meets Fascia Your diaphragm isn’t just a muscle. It’s the fascial bridge between breath and posture, a living connection that links your organs, heart, and spine into one intelligent system of flow. The Fascial Network of the Diaphragm The diaphragm’s fascial layers are continuous with: • Endothoracic fascia above — linking to the lungs, heart, and pleura. • Transversalis fascia below — connecting to the liver, stomach, intestines, and psoas. • Mediastinal fascia — blending with the pericardium and phrenic nerve sheaths. • Crura of the diaphragm — attaching directly into the lumbar spine, creating a myofascial bridge between breath and posture. When the diaphragm’s fascia becomes dense, dehydrated, or restricted, compensation patterns ripple through the body, showing up as tight hips, a stiff spine, shallow breathing, or fatigue that you can’t explain. ✨ Try this before your fascia work: Exhale slowly through pursed lips, or through a straw or small balloon, to build gentle resistance. This creates a fascial workout for your diaphragm, strengthening its whole excursion and re-training your body to breathe from its center rather than its shoulders. Straw or balloon breathing increases intra-abdominal pressure control, tones the phrenic and vagus nerves, and primes your fascia for deeper release. Before your tools, before your movements, before everything else, it begins with the breath that moves your fascia. #diaphragm #wellness #fasciamedicine #fascia #anewwayforward

I just saw something about a study where they correlated diaphragm fascia release to 80% reduction in reflux symptoms (self reported). I suspect I have issues with my LES and have awful reflux that I take omeprazole for. I can’t get my fingers under my ribs to even see if I have tender spots. I did notice tho when I was trying, it felt like my sinuses were draining from pressing around.

my diaphragm got sucked up into my thoracic cavity and the fun began. ER and 4 doctors that followed all said they couldn't help me. I noticed when I bend over my heart goes crazy. looked it up and bam! went to tik Tok and leaned how to pull my diaphragm and esophagus down. Doctors do not bother to look at how you breath and I had been trauma breathing for 17 years. symptoms of a sucked up into the thoracic cavity. arrhythmias, chest pain, SOB, elevated BP, and my body screaming that I was dying and no one would help. hello medical trauma

How deep does the fascia go in the diaphragm? My pain and tremors are right below the sternum and straight back to the spine.

this is exactly what I am trying to undo! My hip, shoulder and lower back hurts so bad. I've been researching and I just told my daughter this morning, it's my diaphragm! I have hEDS and was just diagnosed last month. 🥰

I just turned 60 years old. I have a lot of stress so therefore my stress hormone is going through the roof and has for about three years now. Now I have severe pain that starts from my hip to the side of my leg down the back of my calf to the top of my foot. I had x-rays done and my hip looks great. Do you have any suggestions? I have started doing some simple exercises. I bought some exercise bands I’m trying to change my diet and I am doing breathing exercises and listening to healing megahertz at night. I am also taking a lot of different herbs trying to reduce my stress levels
