Every child — every single one — is born with a sin nature. Not because they’re “bad”… but because we live in a fallen world. Scripture doesn’t hide this: • “There is none righteous, no, not one.” — Romans 3:10 • “Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child.” — Proverbs 22:15 • “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity.” — Psalm 51:5 So the eye rolls… the defiance… the tantrums… the dishonesty… the hitting… the selfishness… Those aren’t signs that you’re a “failing mom.” They’re signs that your child is human — born into the same brokenness we were born into. And God, in His wisdom, placed YOU as their first discipler. Motherhood isn’t just snacks, naps, and routines. It is spiritual formation. It is heart work. It is training tiny souls to recognize sin and turn from it. The world says: “Kids will be kids.” “Just let them express themselves.” “They’ll grow out of it.” But Scripture says something different: ✨ Correct with love. — Proverbs 13:24 ✨ Train them diligently. — Deut. 6:6–7 ✨ Bring them up in discipline and instruction. — Ephesians 6:4 ✨ Teach them the way they should go. — Proverbs 22:6 Kids don’t grow out of sin. Kids must be led out of sin — gently, consistently, and biblically. And here’s the part most moms don’t hear enough: Your child’s sin is not a reflection of your failure. Your response to it is a reflection of your calling. You were chosen to shape their hearts, model repentance, offer grace, and guide them toward Jesus — again and again and again. This is holy work. Hard work. Spiritual work. But you don’t do it alone. The Holy Spirit strengthens you for every moment. If your heart is craving biblical direction, deeper discipleship, and a motherhood built on Scripture—not culture—my Bible study “At His Feet” was created for you. Comment MOTHERHOOD and I’ll send you the link. 🤍 Or Want biblical tools, guidance, and truth for shaping your child’s heart?
