So if everyone waits to see who invests in them then nobody invests in anyone and everyone ends up alone. I think it would be better to invest in people you like and if it's not reciprocated after a period of time then you move on. It's nice to be nice, you can get pleasure from helping others even if it's not returned, but not for an extended period of time.
