I managed to train mine indoors without a lead doing that, wasn't easy but got there in the end 🤣🤣

I instead have a solid “leave it” “stop” and recall. So when i throw the ball and i see it’s too far or maybe dangerous, i say “leave it” and call her. She stops instantly.
