Any form of physical punishment is extremely wrong. No child deserves to feel physical pain and feel mental pain from a parent that strikes out of anger or frustration- some will say it’s to teach thm what’s right from wrong and to learn respect thru discipline, but the truth is it’s the parent that has no self control or ability to identify issues calmly and talk them thru to resolve and teach the child. Those parents believe they own their children and are intitled to do as thy please with them. Wrong and backwards- children have rights too and are deserve respect. Physical harm doesnt teach it installs fear, and most parents that do it want to install tht fear and be in control. Thy shld not become parents. A child is a child that deserves safety and explanations whn a wrong is done. Talking consequences thru works better than abuse.
