this is the first I’m learning about people actually caring about what/who the author is. I never pay attention to the author and half the time when I’m reading I don’t know anything about the author. I just read the little summary blurb on the back of a book and if I think it’s intriguing, I will pick it up and read it. I don’t do research on authors and i don’t really care who/what an author is so long as they have good books and aren’t a bad person.

i dont understand how people don't read diversely?? like even if you only read one genre, there are so many people writing in every genre that you'd have to actively go out of your way to avoid reading diversely which is just weird behaviour

Anyone needing a good book to read by a WOC, read Kimberly Lemming Mead Misshap series. it is my roman empire. I love this series! She is so good and writing cozy fantasies that are not too long and such a fun story.
