Try to have some extra hard wood in case the kitchen cabinets have to go one day and the hard wood you ordered is no longer sold!! Sounds crazy cause it’s wood but finding a match for it one day could create lots of stress should the need arise!! 🫶✨

It’s so jarring to hear young folks talk abt their grandparents home built in the 70s. 😳 I was having babies in the 70s and refurbished my grandparents home from the 30-40s. Thinking old old. lol 😆😆

We had Buffalo board in our kitchen and den. Can confirm it’s the worst thing ever to get off the subfloor. Ours was rotted from getting wet 🥲

Be careful with those prefinished floors especially with animals or kids they claim to be stronger but that is false. We put in prefinished hickory floors and they were scratched and dented within 6 months and no refinishers would touch them without charging more because the prefinish gunk up their equiptment. We ended up going against the manufacturer and getting our money back but we had a company install. Most warranties are voided by being installed by homeowners unless they are in the trade.

Just bought a house with this under a layer of laminate flooring. Pulled it up and there was a layer of laminate wood flooring under it, ON TOP OF, real hardwood floors. 🤦🏻♀️

omg, this explains my entire house. I didnt realize there was plywood under the mdf i have all over my house! however, im glad I didnt mess with it and just put lvp over it!!

wait, there might be another later over the mdf in my house?? I glued the peel and stick tile to the mdf because it wouldn't stick... this might make the eventually upgrade less horrifying
