You are showing two different formfactors (2.5” and M.2) and saying they are different protocols. Both formfactors support both protocols (mind you 2.5 needing different backplane/conneftor for NVME)

it's not the SSD that has different speeds but the interface that connects it to the computers bus. 1 is SATA, slower, NVME, that has PCI speed. So there are two different interfaces to connect storage, not 2 different SSDs. Second, nvme has faster read write speed not only read.
