as a Christian, I stopped tithing when I brought a homeless person in from the street to help clothe and feed them and they told me they can't help them, while also upgrading their Aircon system that costs more than 1.5mil. I helped them at the end of the day and decided that's how I'll tithe instead from now on. I was so deeply disappointed.

I’m hoping we’re headed toward something like another enlightenment period. Either my FYP is really niche, or there are a whole lot of people questioning what they learned in church right now. I’m probably being too optimistic

Literally the first step in my deconstruction was in middle school when I found out that the money I diligently put in the collection plate every Sunday didn’t go to help the less fortunate. May this be the first domino to fall for others as it was for me.
