@dr_inna: Did you know that you do not have to share made-up stuff you admit to pulling out of your backside? Autistic people can feel empathy, or not feel empathy, or even feel too much empathy. There is no reason to say that someone with ASD or ADHD feels more second hand embarrassment than someone without, though. Sorry about the wonky editing at the end, I couldn’t fix it.
Yes, she is misinforming people and it's good you're calling her out on that. But questioning a person on whether they are human could be hurtful - particularly if they already feel out of place with ADHD or ASD.

It sounds like astrology but just swap the star sign for a neurodivergence

Pop psych has made the word “empathy” meaningless. People say “empathetic” when they mean “considerate,” “patient,” “generous,” “a good listener” or just nebulously “nice.”

I hate the term neurodivergent, or at least the use of it. Like would people say “physically disabled people can’t feel their legs” just because SOME physical disabilities cause leg numbness? No because there’s many conditions. Same for neurological disabilities.

I just came across you and I like the way you present yourself. There is a lot of false information from people who are not accredited individuals in their field, giving false advice and not knowing the truth about what they’re talking about TikTok is a free platform to discuss whatever they want, but I think those who discuss topics that may influence people in wrong information or making wrong decisions is wrong. You are accredited in your field and respect what you have to say thank you for being truthful and honest ensuring your knowledge as being an expert in your honesty is always appreciated. Thank you.❤️

When people say neurodivergent, they don’t generally clarify if they mean autism, ADHD or bipolar disorder, et al. As someone who has several neurodivergent diagnoses, I’m not even an expert in my own lived experience, let alone everyone else whose brain diverges from the ‘norm’. it’s exhausting listening to people who speak with authority only to discover time and again that their authority is misplaced.

Even considering adhd and autism / audhd is a comorbidity is already crazy to me. We’re putting it in the same field as having degenerative retinopathy because of diabetes. Whaaat.

I find it a bit dehumanizing that autism is always portrayed as overly empathetic and just not able to express it properly when i do not experience much of affective empathy at all, and instead im more cognitively empathetic, and i know a lot of other autists that relate to this aswell. Someone‘s capacity for empathy should not determine their worth.

Please consider making your captions more readable (as in, a few words at a time), as they are an accessibility tool. It can be quite jarring to read one word at a time like that, especially for people who need captions. 🫶
